SUEZ will begin construction of a new water tank one mile north of the Hulls Gulch Trailhead later this month. The water company says it will improve water service for nearby homeowners. “Additionally, a fire hydrant will be installed adjacent to the new tank, allowing fire fighters to put out areas fires more effectively and quickly,” said Greg Wyatt, vice president and general manager, Idaho operations. The work will include upgrades to the existing Hulls Gulch Tank booster station behind Camel's Back Park, including a new water line connection to the new tank. The project is scheduled to wrap up by December 2018. There will be impacts to nearby roads and trails during construction. The most immediate will be a half-mile closure of Red Fox Trail from January through April. Trail users can use Chicadee Ridge an Owl's Roost trails during this period.
