Last night, Mayor Lauren McLean and Boise City Council approved $1.2 million to fund the city’s Property Tax Rebate Program. This means that homeowners who qualified for the state’s Circuit Breaker Program will also be eligible to receive a rebate for their remaining City of Boise property tax bill.
“We know that property taxes have a real impact on our residents,” said Mayor McLean. “Which is why we take every available opportunity to get money back into the hands of Boiseans. This program is a first important step to providing financial relief to some of our residents, and I look forward to working to expand the program to more residents.” Applications for the City of Boise Property Tax Rebate Program will be open December 1, 2022 – May 1, 2023. Eligible homeowners will have several ways to access the program, including a letter with an application that will be in mailboxes mid-December, on the City of Boise website, and at local libraries in our community.
