By Tom Seacord Every year, the City of Boise requests a list of 3 traffic projects that are ranked by priority from each of the 35 Neighborhood Associations (NAs). The list needs to be reviewed by the membership, approved by the NA’s Executive Committee and submitted back to the City by December 12. Our list of projects was developed based on the feedback that we received from residents of the NA that submitted comments earlier this year (refer back to meeting minutes on the NA Website for January 2018). Some of these issues continue to be issues that we hear about from residents of the NA. The projects are (ranked in order):
Our project list doesn't include specific action, but rather, we are requesting that ACHD first identify appropriate action that we can comment on - after all, we are not traffic engineers and we shouldn’t be engineering these projects ourselves - however, we able to identify where our traffic problems are. The letter attached was drafted by the Traffic Committee and includes a project abstract for each project and supporting material. The letter was drafted with the intent that it be voted on by the Executive Committee, and then forwarded to the City. Before we do that, we are seeking comments from the NA membership (residents of the area…you…). Based on your feedback, we may need to edit this letter and recirculate it for further comment – so, based on the due date, we request your comments be submitted back to Tom Seacord, Traffic Committee Chair ([email protected] ) by Friday November 30, 2018.
