As a final reminder, the Highlands Neighborhood Association Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 17th from 6-8 PM at Healthwise 2601 N. Bogus Basin Road. We will be meeting in their conference room off the main lobby. If you have a neighbor that would be interested in attending the meeting, and you know does not monitor social media, please inform and invite them to the meeting. The agenda will be as follows: 1. A “State of the Neighborhood and the Highlands Neighborhood Association” review by President Jeff Bradley There will be three updates by other speakers in this section. Dave Yorgason will be giving an update on the Highlands Cove development, Sam Sandmire will be giving an update on the Trailhead Project, and Tom Seacord will be giving an update on the Traffic Safety Committee. 2. Treasurer's Report by Treasurer Laura Barton 3. Presentation and vote on two potential changes in the HNA Bylaws by Scott Tuthill. One proposed change is to replace current wording about who can vote on issues during meetings. The current wording is: "Each member shall be entitled to one vote regarding the affairs of the Association". The proposed new wording is: "Each member 18 years old and older shall be entitled to one vote regarding the affairs of the Association". The other proposed change is in the definition of what constitutes a quorum. The current wording is: “Ten members of the Association, when present at any meeting shall constitute a quorum”. The proposed wording is: “Ten voting members of the Association, when present at any meeting shall constitute a quorum.” 4. Election of HNA Officers for the next year. All four officer positions will be up for vote: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. A call for nominees from the floor will be made at the meeting. You do not need to pre-register. If you are interested in running for office be prepared to make a short speech. No longer than 3 minutes! Votes will be done via a raising of hands. 5. Any other new business as arises. Attached is a DRAFT Agenda the committee proposed for this upcoming meeting. Please review and provide comments to Tom Seacord or your area captain by Wednesday April 18, 2018. The committee is in the process of scheduling this meeting and would like to provide the City this agenda as soon as possible.
