In addition to the release of the draft new code, the City of Boise is pleased to release a new feature called the Community Development Tracker. This online tool allows anyone in the city to track all projects and where they are at in the planning process. RIDGE TO RIVERS INTERACTIVE TRAIL CONDITION MAP
Boise Foothills trail users can now view live updates and check specific trail conditions using the online interactive mapon the Ridge to Rivers website. The new feature displays conditions of trails in the Ridge to Rivers system, giving users the ability to make good decisions about which trails to use and when. Trail conditions will be updated regularly by Ridge to Rivers trail team members to provide accurate reports, especially during the winter months. HOW TO USE THE NEW INTERACTIVE MAP FEATURE The interactive map can be viewed on a desktop or phone web browser. Users may need to clear their browser cache when visiting the website to activate the new feature. Upon opening the map, select “Current Trail Conditions” from the top left drop-down. This will launch a color-coded map of all trails recently evaluated. Clicking on specific trails will show the status of the trail and when the condition of the trail was most recently updated by staff. Last night, Mayor Lauren McLean and Boise City Council approved $1.2 million to fund the city’s Property Tax Rebate Program. This means that homeowners who qualified for the state’s Circuit Breaker Program will also be eligible to receive a rebate for their remaining City of Boise property tax bill.
“We know that property taxes have a real impact on our residents,” said Mayor McLean. “Which is why we take every available opportunity to get money back into the hands of Boiseans. This program is a first important step to providing financial relief to some of our residents, and I look forward to working to expand the program to more residents.” Applications for the City of Boise Property Tax Rebate Program will be open December 1, 2022 – May 1, 2023. Eligible homeowners will have several ways to access the program, including a letter with an application that will be in mailboxes mid-December, on the City of Boise website, and at local libraries in our community.
